Job Details — Cardiac OR Travel RN

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester NY nursing jobs / New York travel nursing; located in the scenic Finger Lakes region
• Assignment Type: Travel RN (13-week assignment)
• Setting: Adult Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR / Cardiac OR)
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• End Date: August 8, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 – $2,650 (competitive pay for travel nursing Cardiac OR roles)

Required Qualifications — Operating Room RN / Cardiac Surgery RN

• Active RN license in New York State (required)
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience, with cardiac surgery (CVOR) experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or high-acuity cardiac surgical program preferred
• Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases (CABG, valve procedures, VAD, ECMO, transplant)
• Telemetry experience and cardiac perioperative monitoring skills required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)

Key Responsibilities — Cardiac OR Nurse (OR RN)

• Scrub and circulate for a wide variety of adult cardiac surgical procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, VAD/ECMO cases, artificial heart procedures, and heart transplants
• Provide perioperative patient care and cardiac-specific monitoring in the CVOR
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality surgical care
• Maintain a sterile operating environment and adhere to all hospital protocols and infection control standards
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac surgery setting
