About the Assignment

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940
• Setting: Progressive Care Unit (Cardiac focus) – 22-bed cardiac step-down/telemetry unit
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guarantee)
• Location: Clyde, NC 28721 – Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park; ~20 miles from Asheville, NC
• Orientation: Bi-weekly start dates (next: 4/27, 5/11)

Job Requirements (PCU RN / Travel Nurse)

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent step-down or ICU experience (cardiac telemetry experience preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
• Ability to float as needed
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Primary Responsibilities – Progressive Care/Telemetry Nurse

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac patients, including post-cardiac cath lab and post-cardioversion care
• Monitor telemetry and promptly respond to changes in patient condition as a telemetry nurse
• Manage a 4:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced, collaborative progressive care environment
• Accurate documentation of nursing care and assessments in Paragon EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility policies and professional standards, including dress code (navy scrubs) and patient safety protocols
