Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department / ER RN experience (required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Proven experience in a community hospital and Level II Trauma Center environment
• Proficient with Epic electronic health record for documentation and care coordination
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays; block scheduling participation required
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Department dress code: solid navy blue scrubs required

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ER setting
• Triage, assess, and treat patients with a range of acute diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory distress, and pediatric emergencies
• Manage a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio while ensuring patient safety, timely interventions, and positive patient experience
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams: respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and specialists
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic; participate in clinical handoffs and care coordination
• Adhere to hospital policies, Level II trauma protocols, and department dress code
• Participate in block scheduling and fulfill weekend/holiday coverage as required
