- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry (Med-Surg/Tele) experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
- Experience with surgical drains and post-op orthopedic care preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Core Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med/Surg and telemetry patients
- Administer medications, titrate infusions, and monitor patient responses
- Manage care for orthopedic, trauma, and select medical patients (post-op backs, hips, knees, bariatric surgery, UTI, appendicitis)
- Monitor and manage lines, drains, and devices (Hemovac, True-close, JP drains)
- Utilize unit equipment including Alaris pumps and specialty beds (e.g., Hercules)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and act as a point of contact for care coordination
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and emotional support
- Maintain patient safety, advocate for quality care, and respond confidently in emergencies
