• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• On-Call: Typically 16–20 hours per 6-week schedule (option to pick up extra shifts)
• COVID-19 & Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required (L&D nurse / perinatal nurse)
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN (or C-EFM), FHM
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (Epic charting) preferred
• Competency in postpartum and mother-baby care, newborn assessments, and APGAR scoring
• OB surgical recovery (C-section) experience highly preferred
• Previous charge nurse, community hospital, LTAC, or trauma experience preferred
• Willingness to float per facility policy and to cover required on-call schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, C-sections, and OB surgical recovery (maternity nurse duties)
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and support breastfeeding/lactation education
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor epidural anesthesia, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM/IUPC and apply C-EFM knowledge
• Educate patients and families on newborn care, discharge instructions, and car seat safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, IV therapy, and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic and adhere to facility protocols and quality/safety standards
• Follow infection control, isolation precautions, and evidence-based perinatal care guidelines
