• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Role: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse / Surgical Nurse (Travel Nurse)
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) — scrub and circulating responsibilities
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Employment Type: Travel, On-site
• Call Requirements: ~1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month (may vary)
• Floating: May float to other clinically appropriate units or facilities as needed

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact considerations if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS current
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative/OR experience required)
• Experience with orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures preferred
• Familiarity with sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and AORN perioperative standards preferred
• CNOR certification preferred but not required
• Ability to take call as scheduled and float to other units within scope of practice

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe intraoperative care as an OR Nurse (scrub and/or circulating) for orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized perioperative patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary surgical team
• Prepare patients for surgery, maintain sterile field, assist with instrumentation, and monitor physiologic status throughout procedures
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition using strong clinical judgment and OR protocols
• Complete accurate perioperative documentation and surgical records for quality and compliance
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, surgeons, anesthesiology, and the broader care team regarding perioperative instructions and handoffs
• Participate in continuing education and contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture focused on patient safety and outcomes
• Float to other units as needed while practicing within competency and scope
