Travel Nurse OR RN needed for a 13-week perioperative assignment in Puyallup, Washington — Level III Trauma Center seeking an experienced operating room (OR) circulating nurse with ortho, spine, and robotics experience.

• Location: Puyallup, WA 98372 (Pierce County, Puget Sound area)
• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse — Travel Assignment
• Setting: Level III Trauma Center, 375 licensed beds
• Unit: Operating Room (OR) — 12 ORs, 40–50 cases/day (high-volume surgical environment)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/15/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts with variable start times (6:30am, 8:30am, 10:30am); includes call and occasional weekends
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Charting System: Epic (Epic experience preferred)

Required Qualifications — OR RN / Surgical Nurse

• Current RN license (state of assignment)
• Minimum 1 year acute/inpatient OR RN experience required (2 years preferred)
• BLS certification (required)
• Strong experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, and robotic surgery (DaVinci experience preferred)
• Proven experience circulating in adult cases and limited pediatric cases (ENT, general, ortho-spine, total joints, GYN, vascular, urology, podiatry)
• COVID-19 vaccination (required)
• Epic charting experience preferred; strong documentation skills
• Ability to take call (4–6 shifts per 6-week period, including nights and weekends) and respond within 30 minutes
• Flexibility, teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude — first-time travel nurses are not eligible

Key Responsibilities — Perioperative / Circulating Nurse

• Circulate in a variety of surgical cases, including orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, surgical techs, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic and adhere to perioperative documentation standards
• Float to inpatient areas (MS, ICU, PCU, ED holding, PACU) for basic RN support tasks as needed (no patient assignments or medication administration required)
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent surgical needs
• Follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols to maintain a high standard of patient care
• Demonstrate flexibility in shift start times and willingness to work occasional weekends based on department needs
