Hospital Pharmacist (Night Shift) — 26-week travel contract in Hyannis, MA. Licensed Massachusetts pharmacist (PharmD or BS) with hospital pharmacy experience needed to provide clinical pharmacy services, sterile compounding, and medication safety coverage on Cape Cod.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830 - $3,040
• Location: On-site in Hyannis, MA (02601) – Cape Cod; Massachusetts pharmacist jobs
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks (May 18, 2026 – November 14, 2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 10-hour nights – primarily 9:00pm – 7:00am; occasional 3:00pm – 1:00am; every other weekend and holiday
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Pharmacist opportunity

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program (PharmD preferred or BS Pharmacy)
• Current and active Massachusetts pharmacist license required
• Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience (hospital pharmacist or clinical pharmacy experience)
• Experience operating pharmacy equipment and automated dispensing systems
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and hospital pharmacy standards, policies, and regulations
• Experience with sterile compounding, IV admixtures, and TPN preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and control medications and pharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and hospital standards
• Compound sterile pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
• Review medication orders for completeness, dosing, compatibilities, scheduling, and clinical appropriateness
• Provide medication order-entry, clinical information, and telephone support during evening/night shifts
• Assign and monitor tasks of supportive personnel and pharmacy technicians to support safe medication distribution
• Ensure proper labeling, secure storage, inventory control, and accurate record-keeping of medications
• Deliver clear drug information and clinical recommendations to physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support medication safety
• Maintain current knowledge of product advances, clinical guidelines, and best practices in hospital pharmacy and sterile compounding
• Provide consistent service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers
• Perform other duties as directed to support pharmacy operations and patient care
