We are seeking an experienced CVOR RN / Cardiovascular OR Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading medical center. Job Details

  • Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (Ann Arbor healthcare / Michigan travel nursing)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks — Travel Nurse assignment
  • Start Date: May 11, 2026
  • Weekly Hours: 40
  • Shifts: Day/Evening rotating shifts (options: 2x8s & 2x12s or 5x8s per week; shift times between 06:30–22:30)
  • Shift Duration: 10 Hour Days
  • Call Requirements: 2–4 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule (no call shift longer than 12 hours)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,870 - $3,020 (competitive travel nursing pay)

Required Qualifications – CVOR RN / Cardiovascular Operating Room RN

  • Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience with adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse / travel CVOR RN)
  • Active Michigan RN license (not compact) — Michigan nursing license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred
  • Scrub experience with demonstrated proficiency level of 3 or 4
  • Experience with high-acuity cases including transplant, ECMO, and LVAD/RVAD preferred
  • Two manager/supervisor references required
  • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required

Responsibilities – Perioperative and CVOR Nursing

  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care for adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients, including high-acuity and transplant cases
  • Circulate and scrub for complex procedures such as CABG, heart transplant, ECMO, LVAD/RVAD placement, aortic aneurysm repair, VATS, and other advanced cardiac surgeries
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
  • Participate in a flexible and supportive call program, delivering high-quality patient care during both scheduled and on-call hours
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and ICU staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and adhere to all safety, sterile technique, and infection control protocols
