- Setting: Neuroscience Ambulatory – Pediatric (Ambulatory care nurse / pediatric neurology)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse (Travel Registered Nurse)
- Start Date: May 10, 2026
- End Date: August 9, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (08:00 – 18:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 – $1,970 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Schedule: No weekends and no on-call required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent license in hand required (Massachusetts accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of ambulatory care experience (ambulatory nurse, pediatric clinic)
- Travel nursing experience required (previous travel RN assignments preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Experience with pediatric neurology conditions: epilepsy, cerebral palsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, autism, and other complex pediatric cases strongly preferred
- Proficient with Epic electronic medical records (Epic EMR experience preferred)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Two professional references from two of the last three employers (different facilities)
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and manage patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal (patient messaging, telehealth support)
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized care plans for pediatric neurology patients across the care continuum
- Document clearly and concisely using SBAR and charting best practices to maintain compliance with nursing standards
- Coordinate ongoing care between clinic visits by communicating with families, interdisciplinary team members, and external agencies
- Contact patients for changes in clinical management and provide education and resources as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Neuro/epilepsy nursing experience is a plus; opportunity to expand specialty skills in pediatric neuroscience
