Job Details

• Position: Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN / Per Diem
• Employment Type: PRN (Per Diem), flexible scheduling
• Location: On-Site – Staten Island, NY (10310)
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Duration: 52 weeks (with potential extensions)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (Night Shift – PRN)
• Shifts per Week: 1 (Per Diem availability required)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $730 - $770 (competitive per diem pay)

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience (clinical pediatric nursing, pediatric OR/PACU experience preferred)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Strong communication, family-centered care skills, and teamwork in interdisciplinary settings
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a PRN basis and adapt to varying pediatric care areas

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients across settings including Pediatric OR, PACU, Sub-Acute, Thoracic Surgery, and Surgical Pathology
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications safely, and document care accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized pediatric care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, discharge instructions, and ongoing home care
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and child-friendly environment for patients, families, and staff
• Demonstrate clinical competence in pediatric assessments, pain management, and post-operative care
