Job Details

• Location: Scottsbluff, NE 69361 (Scottsbluff, Nebraska travel nurse)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Position Type: Travel Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN), perioperative nurse
• Setting: Operating Room – Orthopedic & Neurosurgery focus (ortho OR nurse, neuro OR nurse)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (varied)
• On-Call: Every 4th–5th weekend on call, plus one weeknight per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 – $2,480

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nebraska RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) as applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room experience required (scrub or circulating nurse experience)
• Orthopedic and Neuro OR experience (Level 1 or 2) required
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to take weekday and weekend call as scheduled
• Strong communication, teamwork, and perioperative documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care as a scrub and circulating nurse for orthopedic and neurosurgery procedures
• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments, maintain strict sterile technique and OR safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
• Accurately document all perioperative care, counts, and interventions in the electronic medical record
• Support a culture of safety, quality improvement, and high performance in the surgical department
