• Location: Plantation, FL 33324 (Broward County; near Fort Lauderdale & Miami)
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• End Date: August 17, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM (10-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
• On-Call: Required (approx. every other day and every other weekend)
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Scrubs: Provided by facility

CVOR RN Requirements (Registered Nurse Qualifications)

• Active RN license (Florida OR eligible compact state)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent, hands-on experience in an acute CVOR or cardiac surgery setting
• Experience with open-heart instrumentation, transesophageal echo (TEE) equipment, and ultrasound
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Procedural experience: CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker/ICD insertions, lead extractions, thoracic and endovascular procedures, standby for TVAR and mitral clip cases
• Preferred: minimally invasive cardiac procedure experience and prior travel RN assignments
• Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and function well in a fast-paced perioperative environment

Key Responsibilities (Perioperative & CVOR Duties)

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients in the CVOR and support patient safety during cardiac surgery
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during a range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, including open-heart and minimally invasive cases
• Ensure sterile technique, proper handling of surgical instruments, implants, and specimens
• Set up and troubleshoot cardiac surgical equipment (TEE, heart-lung machines, pacemaker/EP devices) as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of procedures and patient status using Meditech
• Provide cross-coverage and lunch relief in other service lines as needed (Vascular, Robotics, General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic, Plastic Surgery)
• Participate in on-call rotation and uphold quality control and patient safety standards at all times
