- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,820
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
- AWHONN or EFM certification (fetal monitoring) required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital or L&D RN experience
- Strong team-player attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced obstetrics environment
- Preferred: prior travel nursing experience, PACU exposure, Meditech EMR experience
Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery Nurse / L&D RN)
- Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn nursing care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and external cephalic versions
- Perform fetal monitoring and maternal assessment using EFM/AWHONN-guided protocols and advanced monitoring equipment (Centricity, GE monitors)
- Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (Meditech EMR)
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams for safe, evidence-based patient care
- Support high-risk OB cases with critical thinking, perinatal nursing skills, and compassionate patient education
