Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights)

Job Requirements

Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
AWHONN or EFM certification (fetal monitoring) required
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital or L&D RN experience
Strong team-player attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced obstetrics environment
Preferred: prior travel nursing experience, PACU exposure, Meditech EMR experience

Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery Nurse / L&D RN)

Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn nursing care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and external cephalic versions
Perform fetal monitoring and maternal assessment using EFM/AWHONN-guided protocols and advanced monitoring equipment (Centricity, GE monitors)
Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (Meditech EMR)
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams for safe, evidence-based patient care
Support high-risk OB cases with critical thinking, perinatal nursing skills, and compassionate patient education
