• Setting: Main Operating Room at a Level 1 trauma center (robotic surgery, transplant support)

Job Details

• Shifts: Days — 12-hour shifts; on-call rotation for weekends and nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,290 – $2,410
• Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse (operating room nurse)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience (perioperative/OR experience)
• Moderate sedation experience required
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital highly preferred
• Circulate only (OR circulating RN role; no scrub required)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide moderate sedation and comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad surgical caseload
• Circulate in the OR for specialties including neuro, orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Support robotic-assisted procedures (DaVinci robots) and transplant surgeries (liver, kidney, heart)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—surgeons, anesthesia, perfusion, and specialty providers—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation for nights and weekends as needed
• Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
