Travel Oncology RN – 13-week outpatient infusion contract in Georgetown (Washington, DC 20007). Require 2+ years oncology infusion experience and active DC RN license. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010 – $2,120
• Location: Washington, DC 20007 (Georgetown area) — Washington DC oncology jobs / Georgetown nursing jobs
• Setting: Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center (infusion center nurse, outpatient oncology)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience in infusion center or outpatient oncology
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required (travel nursing experience preferred)
• Active DC RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Chemo ONS/ONCC certification required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Preferred: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and inpatient oncology experience, phlebotomy skills, previous charge/clinical coordinator experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality oncology nursing care to patients in the outpatient infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV therapies/infusions safely and according to policy
• Assess, triage, and manage oncologic emergencies and acute symptom management
• Perform medication administration including IV push narcotic agents and chemo admixture oversight as applicable
• Implement and monitor isolation and neutropenic precautions for immunocompromised patients
• Access, care for, and manage ports, PICC lines, and central lines; manage infusion pumps and lines
• Monitor and recognize abnormal lab values, treatment side effects, and infusion reactions
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity when needed to support patient care
• Provide compassionate patient and family education, discharge teaching, and care coordination
