Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for an outpatient Oncology Infusion position requiring active DC licensure, ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification, and at least one prior travel assignment.
Details
- Outpatient oncology infusion center setting
- Focuses on oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, and IV infusions
- Skills required include chemotherapy administration, biotherapy, IV therapy/infusions, medication administration, oncologic emergencies, IV push narcotic agents, isolation precautions, neutropenic precautions, and symptom management
- Experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT) and inpatient oncology is preferred
- Phlebotomy skills and prior charge nurse experience are preferred
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and Chemotherapy ONS/ONCC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Experience in an infusion center and outpatient oncology setting required
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required
- Flu vaccine required
Additional Information
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- All time off and scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
