Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for an outpatient Oncology Infusion position requiring active DC licensure, ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification, and at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion center setting
• Focuses on oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, and IV infusions
• Skills required include chemotherapy administration, biotherapy, IV therapy/infusions, medication administration, oncologic emergencies, IV push narcotic agents, isolation precautions, neutropenic precautions, and symptom management
• Experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT) and inpatient oncology is preferred
• Phlebotomy skills and prior charge nurse experience are preferred
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and Chemotherapy ONS/ONCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Experience in an infusion center and outpatient oncology setting required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required
• Flu vaccine required

• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• All time off and scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
