This travel RN opportunity places you at a Level 1 Trauma/Teaching Hospital where you will deliver advanced cardiac and interventional cardiology care, respond to STEMI activations, and support a multidisciplinary team in a busy cardiac cath lab.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
• Location: Toledo, OH 43608 (Toledo healthcare / Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
• Shift: 4 days/week, 12-hour day shifts (typically 07:30–19:30), plus call
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing (Cath Lab RN)
• Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiology, TAVR, Hemodynamic Monitoring
• On-Call: ~14 days in a 6-week schedule; must respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
• May float to: St. Anne or Perrysburg locations as needed

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required (cardiac cath lab, structural heart preferred)
• Current RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing license)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide provided)
• Level 1 Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred (travel RN, travel nursing assignments)
• Structured heart and endovascular experience is a plus (TAVR, Impella, IABP)
• Experience with Phillips & McKesson EMR / clinical technology preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and interpret hemodynamic data
• Create, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in the cath lab
• Administer medications safely and per hospital policy (conscious sedation management)
• Serve as point of contact for coordination of care across interventional cardiology, ICU, and surgical teams
• Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Function independently as scrub nurse and circulator during interventional procedures
• Participate in on-call system for emergency and urgent cath lab procedures (STEMI response)
• Assist with and perform insertion of IABP, Impella, chest tubes, and temporary transvenous pacing when indicated
• Support Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and other structural heart procedures
• Monitor patients using advanced respiratory modalities and hemodynamic monitoring
• Provide patient and family education and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain professionalism, resilience, and compassion in high-stress, fast-paced environments
