- Healthcare Setting: Level IV Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Rotation: 1 weekend per month
- Time Off: Up to 7 days approved
- Parking: Free onsite parking
- EMR / Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, GE monitors
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience (2 years preferred)
- Active RN license (compact or state-specific license as required for Wisconsin)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, CPI or MOAB
- Critical care skill set with comfort caring for patients of all ages (pediatrics to adults)
- Experience with EPIC EMR and common ED devices (Alaris, Pyxis, GE monitors)
- Strong assessment, triage, and emergency intervention skills — ED RN / critical care experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED)
- Manage typical ED patient ratios (RN 1:4) and collaborate with techs (1:8) to ensure safe patient care
- Perform critical care procedures, assessments, and interventions appropriate to level IV trauma and stroke care
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, hospitalists, ED physicians, and support staff
- Accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR and ED-specific workflows
- Complete at least one orientation shift to learn unit flow and equipment during onboarding
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to unit dress code (scrubs: any solid color; no graphics/logos/designs)
