- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (3pm – 3am or 3am – 3pm)
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
- Orientation: Mandatory 3-day orientation (Mon–Wed, week 1)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience (cardiac ICU, progressive care, or CVICU experience preferred)
- Current Indiana RN license or compact RN license (eligible for Indiana practice)
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
- Competency in radial and arterial sheath management
- Experience with ventilated patients, ventilator management, and cardiac drips/gtt titration
- Proficiency with EPIC charting and Pyxis medication administration
- Strong assessment skills, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intensive and progressive cardiac nursing care for post-procedure patients, myocardial infarction, and device implant patients
- Manage radial and arterial sheaths (removal assistance available) and perform accurate hemodynamic assessments
- Administer and titrate cardiac gtts and vasoactive infusions per protocol
- Care for ventilated patients, monitor respiratory and cardiac status, and coordinate ventilator-related interventions
- Float to like units and progressive care units as needed to support staffing and patient care
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery plans, and device care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
