Job Details
- Position Type: Travel Endoscopy Technician / Endoscopy Tech (Surgical Technologist)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 - $1,700 (competitive travel healthcare pay)
- Location: Glenwood Springs, CO (81601) — Western Slope of Colorado
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (5/12/2026 – 8/11/2026)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call
- Work Setting: On-site — hospital endoscopy department (gastroenterology/endoscopy)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy Technician / Endoscopy Tech experience required (advanced case experience: ERCP, polypectomy, biopsies, dilations)
- Experience with EGD, colonoscopy, and advanced endoscopic procedures strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Registered with DORA as a Colorado Surgical Technologist
- Highly preferred: SGNA Associates Program and/or SGNA Advanced Associates Program (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates)
- Highly preferred: IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification or equivalent endoscope reprocessing certification
- Traveler requirement: permanent address at least 75 miles from facility
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff, gastroenterologists, and physicians during endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, polypectomy, biopsies, and dilations
- Disinfect, clean, and reprocess endoscopic equipment per IAHCSMM and facility protocols (endoscope reprocessing)
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on endoscopy equipment and instrumentation
- Set up procedure rooms, prepare required instruments and supplies, and maintain sterile technique for procedures
- Transport patients and assist with patient positioning, dressing, and ambulation as directed by nursing staff
- Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures and monitor patient safety during scope cases
