• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Location: Springfield, Ohio 45504 (Clark County) — Ohio nursing jobs, travel nurse opportunity
• Setting: 30-bed Medical-Surgical Oncology Unit (4 North)
• Shift: 12-hour nights; every other weekend and every other holiday required — ideal for experienced night shift nurses and travel RNs
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Travel Position: Travel nurse position — local candidates not accepted
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a valid compact nursing license (compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required; oncology nursing experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and NIHSS (Stroke Certification) required
• Chemo certification preferred; travelers without chemo certification will not administer chemotherapy
• Must pass EKG exam
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills for multidisciplinary clinical settings

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Deliver oncology nursing support on a 30-bed Med/Surg Oncology Unit, collaborating with physicians, RNs, LPNs, and techs
• Perform and document complete patient assessments and maintain current, individualized care plans
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital policies and medication administration protocols
• Identify patient learning needs and provide tailored education for patients and families
• Serve as a patient advocate and safety champion, participating in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives
• Support patients and families emotionally and physically throughout hospital stays, including post-operative and oncology care
• Participate in team nursing and assist with charge RN duties as needed; contribute to a positive clinical work environment
