Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – 13-week contract in Harrison Township, NJ. Immediate start June 8, 2026. High-volume Emergency Department RN role for experienced ED nurses seeking contract nursing and travel nurse opportunities in New Jersey.

Job Details

• Location: Harrison Township, NJ (Zip: 08062) — Southern New Jersey near Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 – $2,200
• Shift: Variable; weekends required every other weekend or 3 per month depending on needs
• Holiday: None required
• Start Date: June 8, 2026
• Work Setting: On-site, high-volume Emergency Department / ER

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience as an ER RN or Emergency Department RN
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• At least one completed travel or contract nursing assignment required
• High-volume, fast-paced ER experience strongly preferred
• Active NJ RN License or Compact RN License accepted
• Current certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (no pending or expiring certifications within 30 days)
• Ability to complete full orientation as scheduled (no rescheduling); maximum of 3 days RTO allowed; no block scheduling or special requests

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting
• Rapidly assess, triage, and manage a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Perform clinical interventions typical of ED nursing, including triage, IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and emergent procedures as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record consistent with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in required orientation, training, and continuing education for emergency nursing
