- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry (Medical-Surgical / Cardiac Telemetry) – 3 East/West Units
- Start Date: June 12, 2026
- End Date: September 11, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Night shift – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am); options for 4x12s or 2x12s available
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (travel nursing pay estimate)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required prior to travel (cardiac telemetry experience preferred)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
- Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty required
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (telemetry competency)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, perform ECG rhythm recognition, and respond to telemetry changes
- Administer medications, manage IVs, perform assessments, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, charge RNs, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
- Participate in patient and family education to promote optimal health outcomes and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, safety standards, and required orientation modules/assessments
