• Setting: Hospital – Sterile Processing Department (SPD) supporting Operating Room / Surgical Services
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Schedule: Night shift, Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130 – $1,210

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPD Technician)
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required (CRCST or equivalent preferred)
• Proven skills with Orthopedic and Neurosurgery instrumentation and tray assembly
• Travel sterile processing experience highly preferred (travel SPD technicians encouraged to apply)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital surgical services team

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and equipment per hospital and AAMI standards
• Operate sterilization equipment (autoclave/low-temperature sterilization) and document sterilization cycles accurately
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of sterile supplies; maintain sterile inventory and storage area organization
• Support surgical teams by preparing and delivering instrument sets and case carts for Ortho and Neuro procedures in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records, follow hospital safety protocols, and participate in quality assurance and infection control initiatives
• Collaborate with perioperative staff, central supply, and other departments to optimize workflow and minimize case delays
