Required Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or similar acute cardiac care setting
• Completion of required onboarding credentials (health screenings, background checks)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a travel contract
• Strong clinical skills: cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, patient assessment, and post-surgical cardiac care
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor and assess cardiac patients, including post-operative and acute cardiac conditions
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond to arrhythmias and other cardiac events
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform necessary nursing interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, case management) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
