Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Contract in Weston, FL 33331. 13-week transplant OR travel nurse role delivering perioperative care for liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants.

Job Details – Travel Nurse / OR RN

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Transplant / Perioperative Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Weston, FL 33331 (South Florida travel nursing job)
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Facility
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (July 6, 2026 – October 5, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:45 – 17:15)
• On-call: 1 shift per week and (2) 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Charting / EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Required Qualifications – Transplant OR RN / Surgical Nurse

• Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required (transplant implantation experience required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license – pending license accepted
• ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross (must have at time of submittal)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Proficiency in MISONIX/CUSA and other specialized OR equipment
• Experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures that includes organ implantation
• Nicotine-free (negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required)
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and cover other surgical cases
• All requested time off must be submitted up front
• Willingness to participate in training (students and new staff)
• EKG and Pharm tests required during orientation (2 attempts max)

Key Responsibilities – Perioperative & Transplant Nursing

• Provide perioperative care for transplant surgeries including liver, heart, lung, and kidney procedures
• Assist with organ implantation and manage complex surgical cases in the OR
• Operate specialized equipment such as MISONIX/CUSA and maintain equipment safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary transplant teams in a teaching hospital environment
• Float to other surgical specialties as needed when not assigned to transplant cases
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and follow perioperative documentation standards
• Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and patient safety protocols
• Participate in ongoing education, in-service training, and precepting of students/new staff
