Overview
Join a dynamic team at a state-of-the-art Level 1 Trauma Center in Burlington, Massachusetts (01805). This newly renovated Emergency Department features 44 beds, advanced technology, and a collaborative team environment. This Emergency Department Nurse position is ideal for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) with strong trauma and triage skills who wants a rewarding travel nursing assignment near Boston.

- Location: Burlington, MA 01805 — Boston-area nursing job, easy commute to Boston
- Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Contract Length: 26 weeks (travel nurse contract)
- Start Date: June 29, 2026
- End Date: December 26, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (every other weekend and 2 holiday shifts required)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 – $2,600
- Contract Guarantee: 72 hours biweekly (excluding on-call time)
- Type: Travel, On-site — Emergency Department Nurse / Trauma Nurse role
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience — Level 1 trauma experience required
- Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA is active)
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- PALS or ENPC (equivalency) and TNCC certifications required
- EPIC charting experience required — strong documentation and medication administration skills
- Strong communication, triage, and critical decision-making skills for fast-paced ED and trauma care
- Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months if previously employed (perm, per diem, or contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergent medical needs as an Emergency Department Nurse / ER RN
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and treatment in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center
- Participate in trauma resuscitations and emergency procedures as needed
- Use EPIC for all patient assessment, care documentation, and medication administration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, and surgical teams) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
- Work every other weekend and two holiday shifts as required; maintain flexibility for team coverage
