Travel ER RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience with Level 1 trauma exposure
• Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA is active)
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• PALS or ENPC (equivalency) and TNCC certifications required
• EPIC electronic charting experience required
• Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months if previously employed (perm, per diem, or contract)
• Ability to work every other weekend and the 2 required holiday shifts
• Strong communication, rapid triage, and critical thinking skills for emergency and trauma care

Key Responsibilities - Emergency Department RN / Trauma Nurse

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adults and pediatrics presenting with urgent and life-threatening conditions
• Triage, assess, and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced ED/trauma environment
• Participate in trauma team activations and emergency response protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, trauma surgeons, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate acute care
• Use EPIC for patient assessment, documentation, orders, and medication administration
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Deliver compassionate support and clear communication to patients and families during crises
