Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370
• Location: Weston, Florida (33331) – South Florida travel nurse position
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (July 6, 2026 – October 5, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour (06:45 – 17:15) with liver call and weekend coverage (1 shift per week + two 12-hour weekend shifts per month)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting / EHR: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience (must be reflected on skills checklist)
• Experience with organ implantation (not just procurement); transplant RN experience preferred
• Proficient in MISONIX/CUSA technology and advanced perioperative equipment
• Valid Registered Nurse license in any U.S. state (pending license accepted)
• AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS (required at time of submittal)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Nicotine-free: negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required
• Willingness to participate in training and teaching (students and new staff) in a teaching hospital
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility OR needs
• All requested time off must be submitted up front
• First-time travelers accepted — great opportunity for travel nurses and transplant RNs
• EKG and Pharm test required during orientation (study materials provided)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant surgeries
• Assist in organ implantation procedures and other complex surgical cases as an experienced OR RN
• Operate and maintain MISONIX/CUSA and other specialized OR equipment during transplant operations
• Maintain strict infection control, universal protocol compliance, and perioperative safety standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other OR cases as needed when transplant cases are not scheduled
• Complete required modules, compliance documentation, and EPIC charting promptly
• Support adult and geriatric patient care in a high-volume operating room (daily census 55–60)
