We are seeking passionate Registered Nurses (RN) with cardiac or stepdown experience for a 13-week travel contract. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 – $2,280 (competitive pay for travel nurses)
• Location: Canton, OH 44710 — Ohio nursing jobs, Canton healthcare, close to downtown and parks
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Progressive Care/Telemetry)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel, on-site)
• Start Date: June 29, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7p – 7a) — Night Shift RN, Night Nurse
• Shifts per Week: 3 (36 hours/week)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / On-Site RN

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a valid compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in stepdown, cardiac, telemetry, or acute care settings
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced cardiac care environment
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Preferred

• ACLS or cardiac-specific certifications preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience or experience working in a newly opened unit

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
• Continuous cardiac monitoring, assess patient status, and perform focused assessments
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titratable drips per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, discharge planning, and recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
• Contribute positively to the culture and workflows of the new Cardiac Stepdown unit
