Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Job in Trenton, New Jersey | 8-Week Acute Care Contract

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse for an 8-week on-site contract opportunity in Trenton, New Jersey. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2020-$2130
• Location: Trenton, New Jersey
• Setting: Med/Surg Tele Float Pool with ED Holds as home unit
• Start Date: 7/13/2026
• Duration: 8-week contract
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float Requirement: Will float between regional campuses
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• 2+ years of current Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIH certification required
• Ability to work effectively in a float pool environment across multiple acute care settings
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient monitoring skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in Med/Surg Tele and ED hold environments
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, coordinated, and efficient patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner
• Float between assigned campuses as needed to support patient care demands
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge needs
