ICU RN Job Requirements

• 2+ years of ICU Registered Nurse experience in a critical care or intensive care unit setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Previous EPIC experience required
• Previous contract nursing or travel nurse experience required
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient management skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient condition, assess changes, and respond quickly to emergent situations
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs
• Maintain compliance with unit standards, safety practices, and hospital policies
