• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,870-$3,020
• Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Schedule: Day shift
• Shift Duration: 10 Hour Days
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Shift Pattern: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• On-Call: Required, including nights and weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday; 22 in 6 weeks)
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Ability to scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases required
• Experience with cardiac procedures including CABG, aortic and mitral valve repair/replacement, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS required
• Current TNCC required
• CNOR preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients
• Scrub and circulate for complex cardiac surgery procedures in the CVOR
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and specialty equipment for cardiac surgery cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to support safe, efficient procedures
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Support procedures such as CABG, valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and ventricular assist device cases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Follow safety protocols, sterile technique, specimen handling procedures, and universal time-out standards
• Participate in required on-call coverage, including nights and weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday; 22 in 6 weeks)
