Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Contract Opportunity in Harrison Township, New Jersey

Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week local contract in Harrison Township, NJ. Bring your scrub and circulate expertise to a fast-paced surgical team supporting complex vascular, thoracic, spine, robotics, and trauma cases.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2520-$2650
• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey
• Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
• Start Date: 8/10/2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift Options: 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend/On-Call: One weekend of call per month totaling 36 hours, including 24 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday
• Employment Type: Local contract, on-site

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Ability to scrub and circulate independently in the operating room
• Advanced experience with vascular, thoracic, orthopedic spine, robotics, and trauma cases
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• National certification in a surgical or perioperative specialty preferred
• Ability to complete all required orientation and onboarding activities as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Scrub and circulate for a wide range of complex surgical cases
• Support surgeons and procedural teams during vascular, thoracic, orthopedic spine, robotics, and trauma operations
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment
• Perform accurate patient assessments, documentation, and intraoperative monitoring
• Collaborate closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Participate in scheduled call coverage and respond effectively to urgent surgical needs
