• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scheduling Note: Must be available to work all 3 shifts throughout the full 13-week assignment regardless of requested time off

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required
• BSN required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania or compact eligibility, as applicable
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-acuity acute care and step-down environment
• Strong cardiac, telemetry, and progressive care nursing skills preferred
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring progressive care, step-down monitoring, and treatment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition, escalating concerns as appropriate
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with provider orders and clinical standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge needs
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
