- Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
- Call: 7 days per month, including one weekend per month
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120-$2,230
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Alabama RN license or compact/multi-state RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 4 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a hospital setting
- Experience as an OR circulator; endoscopy experience required
- Experience in Endoscopy, Orthopedic Surgery, and General Surgery required
- ENT and GYN surgery experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical services environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
- Use critical thinking and clinical judgment to anticipate patient needs and support surgical planning
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR techs, and other surgical team members to deliver seamless patient care
- Maintain case timeliness and ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available
- Communicate with families and help support a smooth patient experience
- Update physician preference cards and assist with case preparation
- Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases as needed
- Supervise personnel delivering patient care while following hospital, AORN, and regulatory standards
