Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Setting: Acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Pattern: Day and night rotations
• Assignment Length: 20 weeks
• Start Date: 08/28/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• Minimum of 18 months of combined recent experience in the specialty
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and days as operationally needed
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday
• Strong rhythm recognition skills and comfort with telemetry monitoring
• Ability to complete onboarding assessments and orientation requirements successfully
• One year of nursing experience is the minimum expectation if not otherwise specified; this travel nursing role requires significantly more experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and perform nursing interventions according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including those requiring advanced monitoring
• Adapt to variable assignment needs and support occasional floating to similar patient care areas
• Document care accurately and maintain patient safety throughout each shift
• Participate in orientation and required competency testing to ensure readiness for the role
