Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Poplar Bluff, Missouri
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• EMR: Cerner
• Unit Size: 24 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:4; 1:1–2 for trauma patients

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and SAMA or equivalent certifications required
• TNCC and ENPC preferred for emergency and trauma nursing candidates
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department
• Travel nursing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patients and determine triage priority using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
• Provide immediate life-saving interventions and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical needs and provider orders
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support timely treatment
• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and the state Nurse Practice Act
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities based on staff education and experience
• Document care accurately and contribute to efficient patient flow in the emergency department
