Position Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED/ER)
• Facility: Mercy Hospital Springfield

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week (must be specified on the submission form)

Quick Overview

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a high-volume Level I Trauma Center. This is an Auto-Offer position for qualified candidates. The department is a busy urban trauma center, regional burn center, STEMI, and stroke center with over 200 patients per day.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level I Trauma Center
  OR
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a Level II Trauma Center
• Experience must be clearly listed on the resume
• Experience with high-acuity emergency patients
• Trauma experience required

Requirements

• Current RN License (Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• AHA PALS
• TNCC
• NIHSS (may be submitted without it but must obtain prior to start)

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric emergency experience
• High-volume trauma center experience (200+ patients/day)
• Stroke, STEMI, Burn, and Trauma experience
• EPIC experience

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate emergency patient care
• Care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, burn, pediatric, and medical emergency patients
• Coordinate care with ancillary departments
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Provide safe, evidence-based patient care
• Follow Mercy policies, nursing standards, and patient safety protocols
