Pediatric Registered Nurse – Pediatric PACU Travel Nursing Job in Jacksonville, NC

Join a dynamic Pediatric PACU team in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and provide specialized post-anesthesia care in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
  • Pediatric nursing experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Experience working in the operating room with pediatric patients preferred
  • Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed
  • Comfortable participating in on-call coverage when assigned
  • Willingness to float to like acuity areas when needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients recovering from surgery
  • Monitor airway status, pain levels, vital signs, and overall recovery needs
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced PACU environment with 1:1 patient ratios
  • Support smooth transitions of care from the operating room to recovery and onward to the next level of care
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical services team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, family-centered care, and service excellence
  • Assist with patient flow and team support across similar acuity areas as needed
