- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,750
- Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience working in the operating room with pediatric patients preferred
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed
- Comfortable participating in on-call coverage when assigned
- Willingness to float to like acuity areas when needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients recovering from surgery
- Monitor airway status, pain levels, vital signs, and overall recovery needs
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced PACU environment with 1:1 patient ratios
- Support smooth transitions of care from the operating room to recovery and onward to the next level of care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical services team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, family-centered care, and service excellence
- Assist with patient flow and team support across similar acuity areas as needed
