Travel NICU RN needed in Columbus, Ohio 43210 for a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with a respected healthcare team and high-acuity newborn care.

- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
- Setting: Level III NICU with a daily census of approximately 30 neonates
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Float Requirement: May be required to float within the organization as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Experience in Level III or Level IV NICU settings preferred
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Strong experience with neonatal respiratory support and ventilator management
- Proficiency with Epic charting preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity neonatal care environment
- Comfort with interdisciplinary collaboration and family-centered care
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates, including critically ill infants born as early as 22 weeks gestation
- Monitor and manage patients with respiratory distress, glucose management needs, and surgical or cardiac concerns
- Administer and monitor medications including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
- Perform and support arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
- Manage ventilator settings and respiratory support modalities such as AC/PC, SIMV, CPAP, BiPAP, and PEEP
- Use SBAR communication to support safe and effective coordination with providers and families
- Support feeding management, including bottle, breast, gavage, and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube care
- Maintain infection prevention practices and contribute to a highly collaborative neonatal nursing team
