• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630

• Unit Focus: Ortho/Spine Med-Surg
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Schedule Notes: 4 weekend shifts per schedule; rotating floating as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or acute care nursing experience
• Strong compassion, teamwork, and communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced orthopedic and spine care environment
• Ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio and maintain high patient experience standards
• Experience with electronic documentation preferred; Meditech experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg patients recovering from knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
• Monitor patient status, assess recovery progress, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and carry out physician-ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care in the Meditech system
• Support mobility, comfort, and recovery using unit equipment and standard orthopedic tools
• Collaborate with the care team to promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes
• Maintain professionalism while adapting to rotating float assignments and weekend coverage
