Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Bolivia, North Carolina

Travel Labor & Delivery RN opportunity in Bolivia, NC: support a busy LDRP and Mother/Baby unit, provide high-acuity maternal care, and make an impact in women’s services every shift.

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Location: Bolivia, North Carolina
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Call: 2 mandatory call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Open to floating to assist nearby units as needed
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Charting System: Epic preferred
• Unit Focus: LDRP and Mother/Baby couplet care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; North Carolina or compact license accepted, pending okay for submittal
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications required
• Strong experience with fetal monitoring, couplet care, and LDRP workflows
• Comfort with a 1:4 couplet care ratio
• Experience supporting cesarean sections, breastfeeding support, and newborn care
• Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and required call shifts
• Adaptability to float and assist other units without taking a full assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients in a Labor & Delivery setting
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
• Assist with sterile speculum exams, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Support breastfeeding education, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching for families
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and obstetric interventions per unit protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Use clinical judgment to recognize and escalate concerns such as hemorrhage or fetal distress
• Float to nearby areas as needed to support patient care needs
