• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend and holiday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Unit: Intensive Care / Coronary Care

ICU RN Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Medical-surgical experience preferred
• Previous telemetry experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• ACLS upon hire or active BLS with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• CCRN certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols
• Provide safe, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU setting
• Administer medications, intravenous therapy, vasoactive drips, and anticoagulation therapy per policy and physician orders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKG changes, and respond promptly to clinical changes
• Support ventilated and intubated patients, including suctioning, troubleshooting, and weaning support
• Interpret arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and hemodynamic data accurately
• Participate in post-operative monitoring and implement interventions for potential complications
• Complete timely documentation, medication reconciliation, and handoff reports
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during daily rounds to coordinate care and promote continuity
• Promote patient safety, identify risks, and contribute to quality improvement efforts
