We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Akron, Ohio. • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend and holiday; Friday and Monday coverage when not scheduled on the weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Unit Focus: Medical/Surgical and rehabilitation patient care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of bedside clinical experience required; 2 years of bedside clinical experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong communication, time management, and team collaboration skills
• Ability to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care in a fast-paced acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to guide an individualized plan of care
• Develop patient and family teaching plans based on diagnosis, goals, and discharge needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and support weekly re-evaluation planning
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Initiate discharge planning from admission and prepare patients and families for next steps in care
• Communicate status changes promptly to the physician, charge nurse, and care team
• Support, delegate to, and supervise ancillary nursing staff as appropriate
• Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following all safety protocols
• Contribute to a positive team culture and help maintain an efficient, organized unit
