Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a compact license
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and progressive patient care
• Ability to safely titrate drips and support cardiac patients when needed
• Comfort working nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Complete comprehensive assessments, identify patient needs, and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond promptly to clinical changes
• Administer medications and manage ordered therapies in accordance with best practices and policy
• Care for patients with cardiac rule-out needs, CHF exacerbations, pre/post-cardiac cath needs, and telemetry-level medical conditions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and support patient and family education
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality patient outcomes
• Support a patient-centered, team-oriented environment focused on safety, communication, and clinical excellence
