Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week local contract in Harrison Township, NJ. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2520-$2650
• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey
• Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift Options: 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend/On-Call: One weekend of call per month totaling 36 hours, including 24 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday
• Charting System: Epic
• Employment Type: Local contract

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Ability to both scrub and circulate independently in the OR
• Expert-level experience with vascular, thoracic, orthopedic spine, robotics, and trauma procedures
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• National certification in a surgical or perioperative specialty area preferred
• Experience using Epic electronic health record system required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Perform both scrub nurse and circulating nurse duties based on procedural and departmental needs
• Support surgical teams during vascular, thoracic, orthopedic spine, robotics, and trauma cases
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies to ensure readiness for each surgery
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold patient safety standards throughout every procedure
• Accurately document patient care and surgical activity within Epic
• Participate in scheduled call coverage and respond to urgent surgical needs as required
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care
