Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend; scheduling based on department needs
- Setting: Emergency Department / ER
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801
- Patient Care Environment: High-volume, fast-paced emergency care
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or comparable high-acuity setting preferred
- Comfort working in all areas of the Emergency Department and adapting to changing patient needs
- Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to coach and communicate effectively in real time
- Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Reliable, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a dynamic clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients across a wide range of emergency conditions
- Support patient flow while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compassionate care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, clerks, and fellow nurses to deliver seamless care
- Work flexibly across all areas of the ED as needed
- Use strong communication and patient experience practices, including AIDET and frequent patient updates
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit guidelines and clinical protocols
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that supports excellent outcomes
