- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Obstetrical Nursing / Maternal-Newborn Care
- Location: Durant, OK 74701
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Floating: Required to postpartum or nursery as needed
- Call: No call required
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Experience with antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal care
- Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills
- Comfortable floating to postpartum or nursery
- Cerner experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to Labor & Delivery patients throughout the obstetrical continuum
- Monitor and support patients during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases of care
- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse leaders, and the care team to anticipate patient needs and promote safe deliveries
- Manage a patient assignment in a 6-bed LDR unit with a typical ratio of 1:1 or 2:1
- Float to postpartum or nursery when needed to support unit coverage and patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies and uphold nursing practice standards
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision as appropriate for assigned personnel
